Mindset of an Executive
When I think about my role as a CEO, I often ask myself what’s holding me back from launching some of the initiatives that I know will help others.
An individual’s mindset is often referred to as being either fixed or growth-oriented in nature. It influences how we think, act, and behave.
Someone with a fixed mindset typically displays negative traits, is reluctant to take on new challenges, resists feedback, seeing it as a personal attack, and is less willing to embrace change, fearing unfavourable outcomes and therefore fails to act.
On the other hand, a growth mindset is a beacon of opportunity. It’s the mindset that seeks growth, learns from experiences, values effort, and demonstrates resilience. It’s the mindset that can lead to personal and professional success.
What are some of the strategies we can use in a world that is constantly throwing challenges our way and competing for our mindset?
Some strategies to continued growth include.
So, how is your mindset holding you back, and what can you do today to manage it and gain momentum and progress?
Whilst I don’t consider myself to have a fixed mindset, I do from time to time allow myself to engage in practices that appear to be somewhat fixed.
A mindset of challenging myself daily to do better for others, leading by example, and navigating the challenges that life throws our way is what allows me to deliver for my team and my clients.
At EYB, we are focused on helping business owners, leaders, and their teams manage their mindset.
